What are everyday uses for titanium?
Medical devices like surgical instruments and implants like hips and knees. Personal items like watches and other jewellery. Engineering components like pipe spooling, autoclaves, sub sea parts used in rov’s and submarines. Titanium is also used in the automotive industry for car and bike exhaust systems.
Due to their high tensile strength to density ratio, high corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand moderately high temperatures without creeping, titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace, aircraft engines and missiles where strong, lightweight, temperature-resistant materials are needed.
Did you know Titanium oxide is also found in paint, toothpaste and sunscreen?
